Animals at Lower Moor Farm
We have two dogs, Tilly and Bailey, a shitzu x and a cockerpoo. We also have two 'barn' cats Pixie and Tiger who live in the house but are fantastic hunters. They can quite often be found sleeping in a hay bale during the day.
The barns have housed a variety of animals including horses, pigs, chickens, sheep throughout the centuries.
We have had a busy spring and have added to our Golden Guernsey goat collection. Daffodil didn't get pregnant but Honey had twins girl and boy and Willow had twin girls. Our new additions have been named Bumble and Bea, and Daisy and Buttercup.
They currently share the barn with our 6 chickens who provide us with free range fresh eggs.
We have housed 2 sets of Oxford Sandy and Black pigs at the top of the garden that have provided us with delicious pork, sausages, bacon and chops. We have pork available for sale.
Our sheep kept us busy in April too. We had 8 pregnant Black Welsh mountain sheep who produced 17 lambs. Our first ever lambing was triplets. Amazing!
